Prerequisites - Node.js ^22.19 =24 and pnpm - A Rust toolchain for Tauri (dev and build both compile src-tauri ) Start the desktop app (development) Dev mode launches the backend from source with the system node and opens the native window. The first cargo build compiles the full Tauri dependency tree and takes several minutes. Build the app bundle desktop:build first deploys the backend (downloads a Node runtime and installs the published @deepseek-ai/dsh CLI into apps/desktop/src-tauri/resources/ ), then runs tauri build .
